I am going to ask for some help identifying a book for a trustee -
this is what she knows about the book-
Three Mormon women figure in the story. It is written by an ex-Mormon
woman author. My trustee read about it in a newspaper recently so odds
on it is relatively new. She is not sure if it is fiction or nonfiction.
Thanks in advance for any help.

My summary: John D. Lee, executed by firing squad, had 19 wives. The story
is told from the
viewpoint of 3 of them: Emma, Ann & Rachel; by an author raised in a large
Mormon family.

Cathy, I think you might be looking for the book Red Water by Judith
Freeman. It's a historical novel about the Mountain Meadow Massacre and it
is told by three of the nineteen wives of John D. Lee, ultimately executed
for the murders. Published in 2001.
