There is an opening for a Library Assistant in the Literature and Audio
Services Department at the Downers Grove (Illinois) Public Library.
Candidates for this challenging position must enjoy working with others
and have good communication skills. The person must be a reader, must
be willing to read all types of fiction, and be willing to talk to
people about what they read. Other responsibilities include literature
reference, some book and audio collection development, and patron
assistance with audio materials.
This is a year round, part-time position of 20 hours per week with
mornings, days, evening, and weekend work required. The starting salary
is $11.00 per hour. Anyone interested should apply by Friday, February
