We have a patron seeking a non-fiction book and has provided the
following details: the author is a woman and writes about a sailing
experience in the Caribbean with her husband/boyfriend. It is in the
area of Nevis/St. Kitts. Someone boards their sailboat and attacks them
and the husband/boyfriend is hospitalized. The woman continues on and
becomes stranded.

Though it is non-fiction, someone always knows the answer. Thanks for
your help.

I am doing this from home and don't have access to the book but it sounds like something I read years ago called SITTING DUCKS by Betsy Hitz-Holman. I remember someone boarding and hurting someone and remember it was set somewhere tropical, but that's it! Just a suggestion.
