I have been asked the following question and wondered if anyone had an
answer or a source for where I can get an answer (quickly). The question is:
What percentage of readers in the United States are mystery readers?
(Both adults and children)
Many thanks in advance.

You can get some information on the RWA website on publishing industry
stats http://www.rwanational.org/statistics.stm#reader , the stats do
have some genre breakdown.
Hope this helps,

Lucy, this probably isn't going to help much because I think you
need a quick answer.... But anyway....
I "asked Jeeves" and he said, the following website deals with
mysteries. I did a quick scan, nothing specific on statistics, but I
didn't look at all the links. Maybe something will lead you to the
answer.
mysterynet.com
Anyway, good luck. There's gotta be alot of mystery readers out
there! BYE!

Before you criticize someone,
you should walk a mile in their shoes.
That way, when you criticize them, you are a mile away...
and you have their shoes.
