Hi, I have a patron who is looking for a read-alike
for Erich Segal. What he likes about this author is
his style of writing and the touches of humor. He is
not particularly interested in finding another Jewish
author or stories set in NYC. What he does want to
find is someone who writes a series of books in the
Segal style. His other favorite author is LaVyrle
Spencer. I've noticed in reviews of Segal that he is
described as a "formulaic author"---I'm just not sure
what that means in this case.
