7 deadly sins/7 virtues request

REC'D: 2/13/02, 8:30 AM
I'm planning my next fiction display, and shamelessly am coming
for your collective wisdom again. (I really feel I get much more out
of this list that I contribute.)
I have a 2-sided bin and want to do one side featuring books that
have a theme of one (or more) of the 7 deadly sins, the other side
one (or more) of the 7 virtues.
In case, you can't rattle these off the top of your head, here they
are:
7 deadly sins: anger/wrath, greed/covetousness, lust, envy,
gluttony, pride and sloth.
7 virtues: hope, faith, charity, fortitude, justice, temperance and
prudence.
If you make suggestions of fiction titles, please let me know if it
goes on the "sin side" or "virtue side." I suppose there are some
books that could go on either side, too.
Anyway, thanks if advance; I look forward to your replies. And I will
compile. Thanks. BYE!

I just finished reading a non-fiction title, the Seven Sins of Memory by

thought it was very interesting and would appeal to your aging baby-boomers.

There are more "sinful" titles than "virtuous" titles (kinda like this
ole world (-; I guess). I didn't include the few juvenile & nonfiction
suggestions as that is not for what I was looking.
So here the sinful titles: (flash of fiery flames, and "Devil Went
Down to Georgia" music)
Author/Editor Title
Asimov, I., ed. The 7 deadly sins of Science Fiction.
Austen, J. Emma.
Pride and prejudice.
Bronte, C. Jane Eyre.
Bronte, E. Wuthering heights.
Brown, S. Envy.
Goldberg, M. Bee season.
Greeley, A. The Cardinal sins.
Gregory, P. The other Boleyn girl.
Heller, J. Internal affairs.
Isaacs, S. Compromising positions.
Lawrence, D. H. Lady Chatterley's lover.
Ondaatje, M. The English patient.
Rudnick, P. I'll take it.
Sanders, Lawrence Any title.
Stevenson, R. L. Treasure Island.
Stout, R. Nero Wolfe books.
Traven, B. The Treasure of the Sierra Madre.
Waller, R. J. The Bridges of Madison County.
Wolfe, T. Bonfire of the vanities.
The virtuous titles: (light streaming down from afar, music of
distant angel choir)
Asimov, I., ed. The 7 cardinal virtues of science fiction.
Greeley, A. The cardinal virtues.
Howatch, S. Any title.
Hyde, C. R. Pay it forward.
