Novel about Woman in Nursing Home

A novel patron heard on tape 5-7 years ago. Elderly female roommates live at a nursing home. One cynical and sarcastic roommate doubts that "anyone cares" but other roommate believes her family "does care" and looks forward to their eventual visit. Meanwhile the positive roommate's family is planning a reunion for all her children and they include the cyncial roommate in the celebration.
