An 86 yr. old patron has asked us for the titles of books written by a US
Congressman whose first name is "William". The only other clue we have is
that she recalls his writing as "effusive" and that she does read
contemporary fiction.
After much searching, I do not have a Congressman, but am wondering if she
might mean former Governor William F. Weld who has written three novels since
1999.

William Cohen, former senator from Maine, writes fiction. I haven't
read it and don't know if it's effusive. He wrote The Double Man
(1985) with Gary Hart, novel of international espionage and
terrorism; One-Eyed Kings (1991), a spy thriller involving Soviet
and American covert actions that converge in the Middle East; and
Murder in the Senate (1993), a mystery written with Thomas B. Allen.
