I hate to correct Dennis, BUT as he is also from the Twin Cities he'll want to know that Mary Monica Pulver et al also writes as Monica FERRIS, with CREWEL WORLD and other stitchery-related mysteries. Monica QUILL appears to be a pseudonym for Ralph McInerny.

Absolutely right; my brain was on coffee break. (And no need to "hate" to
correct me--
I'd a lot sooner see egg on my face than see bad information pass
unchallenged into cyberspace.)

Clearly some lazy neuron connected "stitchery" and "quill." At least I didn't
absent-mindedly claim "Ferris" wrote carnival/circus mysteries...
