Hi All,
I am searching for a series list from U.K. author Peter Ling. This
author is not the Sci/Fi author Peter Ling. The clues I have is that he
has written several books, many of them older (1980's forward), and
available in Large Print - the format I need. I also know that in the
series I'm looking for, Book Two is called /Flood Water/ and the last
book in the series is called /Storm Water. / The sources I've checked so
far are:
/Sequels, /Amazon.com/Amazon.co.uk/ Barnes and Noble.com, Powells.com
and Google.
I found several of his titles from these above sites but I can't piece
the series sequence together - the pub. dates overlap.
Does this author ring any bells?

Patricia, et al.

Using the British Library, it seems that the first title in the series is
_High water_; the dates given for the original publications are as follows:

High water (1991) - avail. lg. print (1995), as per OCLC
Flood water (1992)
Storm water (1993)

I can't confirm existence of large print versions of the latter two titles.

This is a repost. I'm searching for correct publication order of titles
to a series written by author Peter Ling.
Flood Waters is the second title and Storm Water is the last title in
the series. I have what I think to be all the the other titles; Crown
Wars,Happy Tomorrow, High Water, Halfway to Heaven, Crown House and
Crown Papers.
this is not the science fiction writer that I am looking for but rather
the UK author.

Thought I'd seen someone answer this already...?

Best I can do with the three-title entry (under "Water Series") on p.690 of
THE WHOLE STORY (2d ed, 1998) by John E. Simkin is to report he lists HIGH
WATER (1991), FLOOD WATER (1992), and STORM WATER (1993) only.

Simkin lists "Crown Series" on p.143 as consisting (then, anyway) only of
CROWN HOUSE (1988) and CROWN PAPERS (1989).

According to the LC Copyright files, a Peter Ling (probably but not
necessarily the one you want) has also published at least two books
under the pseudonym "Petra Leigh" -- GARNET and ROSEWOOD.

There may be at least three UK authors named Peter Ling: CONTEMPORARY AUTHORS
shows a UK author who does nonfiction only (on automotive history and the US
civil rights movement); the WATER etc. guy is presumably a different one; and
there's another (?) UK television writer (comedies and the soap operas COMPACT
and CROSSROADS, often collaborates with Hazel Adair) who did one DR. WHO
novelization (THE MIND ROBBER), and whom I take to be the science fiction
writer you mention.
