coffee industry, etc. NOT interested in books with 'coffee' in the

I'm sorry, but I can't resist mentioning my own book, UNCOMMON GROUNDS,out from Five Star Mysteries just this past November. In it, Maggy Thorsen, whose husband has left her for his dental assistant, jettisons her PR job and opens a gourmet coffee house with two friends. The morning the suburban store is to open, one of those friends is found dead in a pool of skim milk in front of the espresso machine. I'm currently working on the second in the coffee-lovers series.

For all of you coffee lovers (or those who have readers) interested in the
non-fiction side of things there is an interesting article in National
Geographic this month. There are also two books that are pretty good reads
as well. Uncommon Grounds: the history of Coffee and how it Transformed our
World by Mark Pendergrast and The Devil's Cup: Coffee the driving force in
History by Stewart Lee Allen.
