Customer is burning to re-read this book: it involves a brother and sister
who were in an orphanage at which the little girl is abused and the brother
can't help her. Customer doesn't remember any of the middle of the book.
At the end they're on the beach and she's worried about saving turtle eggs.
Customer was certain it was John Grisham; we wonder if it's something by Pat
Conroy.
Help!

Our copy is off the shelf right now but I'm virtually positive (yikes that's
scary) that the turtle egg story is from Beach Music by Pat Conroy. Some of
the other plot elements seem more like The Prince of Tides, though. Is it
possible that your patron has read both and gotten some of the plot elements
from one mixed up with the other?
