Help! I have a patron looking for the woman author who appeared on the PBS show "NOW with Bill Moyers." The PBS website did not list all the people who appear on the shows!

Patron quoted the woman as saying "never stop searching what seems unobtainable."

Any ideas?

Could that be Maryanne Williamson? She's been on PBS with Bill Moyer a
number of times and is an author.

The only woman I know of who was recently on NOW was Ruth Bader
Ginsburg, the SC Justice. I don't think she's written a book, though.

She has written the introduction and spearheaded a move to have published a
book taken from the diaries of the wife of John Marshall Harlan, a supreme
court justice of the nineteenth century. Don't know the title, but have
heard an interview with her on NPR.

The book is Some Memories of a Long Life,
1854-1911 by Malvina Shanklin Harlan. Justice
Ginsberg wrote the forward and has been doing
some publicity for it, including Bill Moyers and
the Nina Totenberg interview on NPR. It is the
journal of the wife of Supreme Court Justice John
Marshall Harlan, who was a slave owner and the
lone dissenting opinion on Plessy v. Ferguson.
Interesting stuff.

Excuse if this is a duplication. Ginsburg was on this weekend and referred
to a book she's just written. This may have been on the Book Channel
(cable), though.The subject of the book evades me at the moment. The quote
sounds like something she might have said on that show.
