I have a patron looking for the a book with the following description:

Students involved in a literary club at an Ivy League school plan a
murder.
The murder is carried out.
Patron thinks the authors first name is "Dana", but she's positive the
author is female.
She read part of the book this past summer and thinks that it was
relatively new then.
She also thinks that the book won some kind of award.

This sounds like Donna Tartt's fabulously engrossing _The Secret
History_, published in 1993. It's the story of a classical Greek
class, six students and their teacher, at a liberal arts college on
the east coast of the United States, through the reminiscences of
one of those students, and a murder is committed.

Her next book is due out in the UK and US on 15 Oct. 2002.
It's called _The Little Friend_ and will come out in Dutch first;
apparently, _The Secret History_ was a big hit in The Netherlands,
selling 700,000 copies in a country of 16 million people.
