Subject: Novel re WWI
Please help! Patron is looking for a novel he thinks was new within the
last year or two. It was the first novel by a male author. The main
character is in his 80's, in a nursing home, and remembering his experiences
in WWI. He remembers his platoon friend who was killed, and remembers
meeting the friend's widow at a reunion and falling in love with her. Does
this sound familiar to anyone out there? Thanks.
