JD Robb's "in Death" books are explicit and futuristic, set in 2058. Good
reads.

I would recommend Catherine Asaro for science fiction with sex. And if
your patron is willing to expand into futuristic fantasy, I would
recommend Laurell K. Hamilton, particularly her more recent novels.

Though not the most "recent" writers around, Philip Jose Farmer almost
always includes sexual elements, and John Norman's Gor series skirts the
borders of porn. Piers Anthony also has a few hangups in that direction.
