Help! Patron read this book circa 1974 and would like to find a copy for
her personal collection. However, she can't remember author/title, and I
don't recognize it. Dennis, do you know?

Synopsis:
Girl receives trip to Mars as graduation present and travels with her
father. (She lived with her grandmother on Earth, and broke up with her
boyfriend before she left. Travel on Earth was by a monorail type system
with individual cars on it.) They stay with friends, father ends up dying
in an accident on a spaceship, and the girl decides to remain on Mars
instead of returning to Earth.
