Hello all! I am looking for a short story collection that contains the
story "The Doll" by Martin Nexo. He's a Danish writer, and I've checked
all of our Short Story Index volumes. I also had a cursory glance
through Google, to no avail.

So, if anyone can locate it for me, I'd be most grateful--and even an
e-text would be fine.

In Danish, this can be found (as "Dukken") in his collection MULDSKUD.
In the copy before me, it's on pp. 221-234 of volume 3 (of a three-
volume set, printed in Copenhagen by Aschehoug and Co circa 1926.

I've not found any indication of an English translation: checked

Gee, Dennis, I wish you'd been a little more thorough! :)

Actually I called the lady today, crying "Uncle," as no one had come
through (as yet) on Fiction_L and I had exhausted any possible resources
I could think of. I did suggest she check with her instructor, as I
think it was a school-related search.

avenues were explored.
