Since there was a Jan Karon readalike thread, I
thought I would add my two cents worth and mention a
book that Jan Karon recommended. She spoke here in
Lynchburg last month and someone asked her what she
likes to read. She said she had just read "Jim the
Boy" by Tony Earley, and she gave it high praise. As
predicted, there is now a run on that book here.
Barnes & Noble said they were sold out of it the next
day and had to order more. I have not read it, but
you may want to recommend it to lovers of the Mitford
Series.

Hi,

I agree. Jim the Boy is a great book with a terrible cover.

Also, thanks to whomever recommended Walking across Egypt which I then read
and thoroughly enjoyed (and laughed out loud at the end.)
