Has anyone found book discussion questions for Anne Tyler's "Saint Maybe"?
I have tried several sources but haven't been able to find anything.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

I run a book discussion at my library on books that have been made into movies, so a lot of the questions that I use are directly related to the movie. With that in mind, here are the questions that I used for the book, Saint Maybe:

Questions for Saint Maybe by Anne Tyler

1. Did you like the author's writing style and organization of the book?
2. Considering the time constraints in making a book into a two-hour movie, did you think the movie version was true to the book and was it well done?
3. Were there too many or too few details in the novel? What about the movie?
4. Did you find this novel/movie uplifting and/or depressing?
5. Did you find either humorous?
6. What are the book's strengths and weaknesses? What about the movie?
7. What was your favorite part of the book or the movie?
8. What are the major themes?
9. Were the characters well developed?
10. Did the author, who is female, do a good job of writing about a male character?
11. In the book, Ian never doubts that Daphne was not his brother's child. Was it different in the movie?
12. In one review, written by Jay Parini for NYTBR, the reviewer states that, [Saint Maybe is] "a realistic chronicle that celebrates family life without erasing the pain and boredom that families almost necessarily inflict upon their members." Do you agree and what do you think the reviewer meant by that statement?
13. Do you relate to any of the characters? Which ones? Why?
14. Who was your favorite character? Why? Who was your least favorite character? Why?
15. Was the book believable? Why?
16. What are the most revealing scenes?
17. What is the significance of the title?
18. How did you feel about the ending?
19. Does this remind you of any other novels or movies?
20. Did anything about the novel bother or offend you?
