I'm reading my first LaVyrle Spencer, and have chosen Morning Glory based on
a comment on the list. One of my pet peeves is continuity problems, and I
seem to have found one in the first 87 pages. Early on, a character talks
about Eleanor (one of the main characters) being the daughter of Lottie See.
Less than 50 pages later, another character refers to Eleanor's mother as
Lottie's daughter Chloe. Am I missing something here, or is this really a
mistake, and is this something that happens often in Spencer's books? I have
many patrons who like her books, and I would like to be able to recommend her
for others, but I dislike recommending books with glaring errors in them. Any
thoughts?Thanks in advance,

I believe Lottie was grandmother, and Chloe was mother to Eleanor; the baby
mentioned arriving at beginning was Eleanor. I find Spencer's books
well-organized and all about 18 or 20 chapters--kind of formulaic, but with
a very good unfolding story that really engages readers--such a shame she's
retired. Janet Molen
