We have a patron who is looking for the title and author of a book she read
many years ago--from her description we're guessing at least twenty. It is
an adult fiction title based on fact about the Danes rescuing Jews from the
Nazis during the holocaust. It may have the word 'night' in the title. We
have not been able to get into Novelist, but we have searched Fiction
Catalog, done a variety of keyword searches in our own catalog and consulted
with numerous colleagues. Any ideas would be of great assistance.

There is also a young adult novel BRIGHT CANDLES: A NOVEL OF THE DANISH
RESISTANCE by
Nathaniel Benchley which was published in 1974.

How about "To fight in silence" by Eva-Lis Wuorio.
New York :Holt, Rinehart and Winston, [1973]
During the Nazi occupation of Denmark, a young Norwegian joins with his
Danish cousins in the secret plan to prevent the deportation of Jews to
concentration camps.

It covers the right topic, and is from approx. the right time frame.
However we have it in our junior, rather than the adult section.
