I have a patron seeking that novel that came out in the last few years, where the harrassed
heroine goes in for her first therapy session, finds a man whom she takes for the therapist, but he's actually there to do some carpentry. Romance ensues, as I understand.
Had no luck using subject headings THERAPY or PSYCHOTHERAPISTS - FICTION.

I think the book you are looking for may be Linda Nichols romance entitled
Handyman, published in 2000.

seems there is also a movie ... can't think of it right now, with this same
plot. it came out just a few years ago.
