I have a patron who read a book some years ago that she thinks was set in
China. The only part of the book she recalls concerns a peasant woman who
becomes a wet nurse for the child of either a wealthy or royal
family. Both the infants are boys: one is very weak and sickly and the
other is healthy and strong. The wet nurse comes to love the other boy
more than her own son.

I know it sounds like a Pearl Buck novel and it may be, but I sure don't
know which one.

There is little to go on, but I appreciate any thoughts.
