A patron is looking for a couple of books. They are
the first and second books in a series, and she says
they are mysteries. The main character is a woman who
is planning three weddings. She has a big family, and
her father is a crazy inventor. The mother and father
are divorced but the father is always around. The
story is set in the South. The woman meets a handsome
guy who is a dress designer. In the second book, the
whole family troops up to Maine. Any guesses?

With all due respect to the patron, the query sounds much more like it might
be a romance rather than a mystery. Or perhaps it's romantic suspense.
