I have a patron looking for a series of mysteries, but he can not remember the titles or the name of the main character. He thinks the main character is cop turned private detective. He has a big dog and two characters that pop up in the series are called the Mole and Dragon Lady. It might be set in a waterfront town. That's what he could tell me. I would appreciate any help you can give me!!

These books are a series by Andrew Vachss. The main character is Burke. The novel Strega describes Mole and Pansy is his Neopolitan mastiff.

Isn't this a Burke mystery by Andrew Vachss? The latest title is Dead and Gone.
