I'm doing a display on books about survivors to coincide with the new
Survivor series on TV. Thanks to Fiction_L, I have the books but I
need a catchy phrase to suggest our patrons read books about
survivors instead of/or as well as, watch the TV show. Can any
creative person out there help me? All my ideas would take up a full
sized poster.
Thanks

"Be a Survivor"
over a desert island. I think that came from this or another listserv.
We used fictional survival stories, and nonfiction books on how to do
'survivor-type' stuff like hunting, fishing, making fires, etc. The items
circulated so well that I'm almost embarrassed to admit we never got around
to changing it. So now I'm thinking we'll just take down the island and put
up some rugged cliffs or a koalas in a tree and keep it going. :)

Books are food, libraries so many dishes of meat, served out for several
palates ... We eat them from love or necessity, as other foods, but mostly
from love.
