Patron is looking for a short well written novel about two young men, one is a neurotic but successful poet, the other is his friend. The two are homosexual lovers but this is not mentioned until the end of the book when the poet dies. The underlying message is about the constant search for the perfect situation, always moving on, always disappointment.
The author is either English or American and is not well known. The book is probably fairly new.
