My book discussion group talked about The Red Tent tonight.
We are interested in hearing the opinions of men who have read the book.
The one man in this discussion group, who willing read the book, said that
he didn't really start to connect the characters until about page 189--after
the murder.
I promised the group I would use Fiction-L to see what other male book
discussion members thought of the novel.
So, if your book discussion group has male participants, and the group has
read The Red Tent, please respond.
Thanks,
Joyce Sparrow

My group discussed The Red Tent on Tuesday evening. There are two men in
the group and they both enjoyed reading it and had much to say. One did
feel that as soon as he began reading it, that it was obvious that a woman
wrote it - not in a derogatory way, but that many of the subjects are female
oriented. Neither had any problems with getting through it.
