Fearless; A Novel of Sarah Bowman - Texas, 1845
Mary's Land - Early Maryland (not her best)
Ride the Wind - Texas, 1836 the story of Cynthia Ann Parker (my favorite)
Hmmm, thought she had one in China too, which was why she came to mind, but
it was Japan.

Author Lucia St. Clair Robson has a few good historical novels out. I
believe some or most of her novels are based on real people and events -
fictionalized accounts.
