Can anyone recommend fiction books about or with coffee in the title (or any
variations thereof). I will also take any nonfiction books about coffee as
long as they are not negative. We are trying a new open house program with
coffee and refreshments each month to promote our new books and I thought it
would be nice to do a little display to promote the program.

There was that book about stewardesses - Coffee, Tea or Me. There's also a
Hercule Poirot mystery called Black Coffee, although it might not have been
written by Agatha Christie. Amazon lists one of the authors as Charles
Osborne. And I'd advise checking Amazon - there are lots of books with the
word "coffee" in the title, although most seem to be non-fiction books about
coffee itself.

A couple from our collection that I don't think have yet been mentioned:
Author: Ringer, Ted.
Title: Get outta town : a tale of the Grateful Dead, the IRS, and
coffee / by Ted Ringer ; illustrations by the author.
Published: Petaluma, Calif. : Acid Test Prod., c1997.
Author: Laferriªere, Dany.
Title: An aroma of coffee / Dany Laferriªere ; translated by David
Homel.
Edition: 1st ed.
Published: Toronto : Coach House Press, 1993.
Author: Rappaport, Doreen.
Title: The Boston coffee party / by Doreen Rappaport ; pictures by
Emily Arnold McCully.
Edition: 1st ed.
Published: New York : Harper & Row, c1988.
<this is in our children's lit collection>
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Author: Saari, Kaye.
Title: The kidnapping of the coffee pot / story by Kaye Saari ;
pictures by Henri Galeron.
Published: [New York] : Harlin Quist, [1975] c1974.
<also children's lit>
One could also fill out an exhibit with books from Minneapolis-based
small literary press Coffee House Press and/or with one of Lawrence
Blochman's mysteries featuring Dr. Daniel Coffee as the detective--
but I suppose that would be cheating.
