Subject: Amelia Peabody??
I have a patron insisting that one of the Amelia Peabody books by Elizabeth
Peters takes place in at least part in Australia. She gave a rather detailed
account of the story. Problem is, no synopsis for any of the books in this
series mentions any of the things she is describing. I'm guessing she must
be thinking of another book, but unless I can prove it she won't believe us.
The story is most likely set around the sam,e time as the peabody series -
early 1900's. A woman goes to Australia where an aboriginal man reckognizes
auras about her. A kangaroo is shown letting a joey out of the pouch. Later,
she joins up with her husband, and they find a young girl whom they sort of
adopt.
Is this part od the Peters series?
Is it another book anyone recognizes?
Thanks
