Try www.carmel.lib.in.us. They have a DIY readalike system: you input the
author and hopefully get some suggestions. I haven't tried Woods myself,
but you could see what happens when you do.

I didn't find this in the archives but if we had done it, please don't
give me a hard time....it has been a very long week!
A patron would like some authors who write like Stuart Woods...and I was
not a good reader's advisory person because I didn't ask what she liked
about his books. I would guess the action. Will compile suggestions for
the list. I have lost my "What Do I Read Next" book and our library
doesn't have access to Novelist ( which is a real shame!) Like I said,
it has been a long week. Oh, does anyone know how to clear the visited
sites from the navigation bar (not the history) of a computer? Our local
nudist representative got really upset with me because I couldn't tell
him how. True story....it just happened.

I went to the site and couldn't find anything like she described so I wrote
to their webmaster. Here's his reply:
"Hi,
We don't have that service available, and never have! Sounds like a good
one to think about for the future, though.

So, Christine, help us out here. It does sound like a good idea. Is it
available on another site, perhaps, and you confused the address?
Thanks.

It probably was--sorry about that; I've visited so many library sites lately
I can't tell t'other from which. I think, however, that this one was run by
a library to which one of our members belongs. Maybe someone else can tell
you the right address.

No, this isn't the place. It was definitely a library, and you typed in the
author or title you wanted a readalike for.

Well, it isn't the Robot. It doesn't look the least like the Robot. The
site I was at had nothing but a space where you typed in the author or title
you wanted a readalike for.
