About 20 years ago I saw a movie shot -I think in Augusta, GA-old maid ran a
boarding house. Guest Mr. Moats a sort of bible student or street preacher.
A major release. any help on the title?

Al,
The film is Wise Blood, released in 1979, directed by John Huston who also makes
a cameo appearance. It's adapted from the Flannery O'Connor novel of the same
name. Hazel Motes preaches his "Church of Truth without Christ" and things go
from bad to worse for him. According to TV Guides movie database, it was shot
in Macon, Georgia.

I tried Moats in a character search on the Internet Movie Database and
found nothing. I tried Motes and found Wise Blood (1979) a southern
movie based on a Flannery O'Connor novel.
