Can anyone identify this book for one of our patrons?
He read this book when he was in the third grade in about 1947 & the story
he remembers is.......a young brave named Chee-loo has to prove himself by
killing a deer, he wounds a deer and chases it into another tribe's
territory and is captured, the chief's daughter (Meshweena) comes forwards
and pleads for his life
The names may be spelled differently -- he thinks the name of the book is
something like Flaming Arrows -- it is not the Flaming Arrows by William O.
Steele
