This may be an unanswerable request. I have a patron who read the Riders
of the purple sage by Zane Grey and he is now looking for another book
that he read that has one of the same characters from the book. The
character he is looking for is the girl Fay Larkin. He said that in the
book he is looking for she is now older and described her as a beautiful
young woman. Patron was not clear if she is the main character in the
book or if she is just metioned in passing.
Any help that you can give will be appreciated.

This is NOT an unanswerable request!
I searched dogpile.com (my favorite meta search engine) and came up with THE
RAINBOW TRAIL. Below is the URL for a bibliographic citation for an audio
book. The summary refers to Fay Larkin as the fiance of John Shefford, the
hero. Another cite I found refers to THE RAINBOW TRAIL as the sequel to
RIDERS. It was made into a movie starring Tom Mix.

I think your patron is thinking of "The Lost Wagon Train," also by Zane
Grey. I read it many MANY years ago so I may be confusing it with something
else, but I believe it is a sequel-about-20-years-later to RotPS. Anyway,
it would be worth trying to get.

I think the ZG book you're thinking of is THE RAINBOW TRAIL. You can check
Amazon.com for a summary.
