I have a patron who remembers a mystery series featuring a pathologist
named Jessica Coran (unsure of spelling). She says that it is like
Patricia Cornwell's Kay Scarpetta series, although she thinks the character
may work for the FBI. This sounds somewhat familiar to me, but I am
drawing a blank.
Any ideas?
Thanks,

Jessica Coran appears in the following:
Walker, Robert
Pure Instinct (1995)
"While investigating a case of serial murders in New Orleans, Dr. Jessica
Coran is pursued by a prison escapee that she helped put behind bars."
