A patron wants the title/author of a short story she remembers reading in
school more than 30 years ago.
The story deals with a class room where the sun light comes
in once a year and a child is put in a closet" for some reason" and he/she
misses the the event. Patron thinks this was a school assignment.
A tough one ..but I am hoping some one remembers . THANKS

Hope somebody else has more info, but I remember seeing a television
adaptation of this. I'm pretty sure it was a Ray Bradbury story. Our
children's librarian says it's in Complete works--we don't have it. HTH

On further reflection, our children's librarian believes this is "All
summer in a day" and that sounds right to me. Good luck!

I think the short story she remembers is All Summer in a Day by Ray Bradbury
and it appears in The Collected Stories of Ray Bradbury. The children live on
a planet where it has been raining for seven years and finally one day the sun
comes out but one girl is forced by her classmates to stay in a closet.
