Although I haven't read Pay It Forward, the discussion reminds me
of another similiar book which is usually confused as being true but
is a fiction book -- What Would Jesus Do? by C. Sheldon (an older
book that has been retold, reversioned alot). Patrons generally
believe that one is a true story, too. Just a thought. BYE!

To one & all, again:

I apologize for not putting a subject heading on my previous message
regarding this title by Catherine Ryan Hyde. I was interrupted right in
the middle, of typing the opening, and must have forgotten to enter the
title in the subject line.

What I really need is suggestions for titles similar to "Pay It Forward";
the patron said she really enjoyed the book as it made her 'feel good'.
She wants titles that are 'positive, true, upbeat and hopeful'. As has
been explained by Virginia & Binnie (thanks), "Pay It Forward" does not
appear to be a true story itself but I'm sure all you wonderful folks out
there can come up with suggestions for titles that are positive, upbeat &
hopeful (and possibly based upon some true event?). Any suggestions will
be appreciated. Thanks in advance, again.

What about "California Angel" by Nancy Taylor Rosenberg--1995--as I recall
it was a simlar type of feel-good story.

I just read a review for MR. SPACEMAN by Robert Olen Butler and it was
called something like a happy fable. We just got it and I haven't
heard anything about it so don't know for sure.
