I'm a radio reporter from Nova Scotia, Canada doing a documentary on a poem
you folks have discussed before.
It is attributed to Mary E. Frye and begins "Do not stand at my grave and
weep". The documentary will be about these
words have travelled cross-culture to bring peace.
I have interviewed Mary Frye for the piece.
But I am troubled that so many people have, in the past, claimed authorship.
Do you have any ideas about how to establish absolutely that Mary E. Frye
is the author? I know she is credited in the "Best of Bereavement" poetry
collection and will be calling the editor. But do you have any other ideas
how I can pin this down?
You could respond on this site, or to me personally at [removed]@cbc.ca
Thanks.
