Folks -

I will be doing a program about starting a book discussion group
later in the spring. I was thinking about making a bookmark with titles of
books about book clubs, but could only think of two titles - ...And ladies
of the club and The book class. Anyone know of any other titles?

Two mysteries came to mind: Charlaine Harris's Real Murders was about a
true crime book club and a new paperback by D. R. Meredith, Murder in
Volume, centers around a Mystery book club.

I have to plug the book that was written to celebrate the 100th anniversary
of a book club I belong to, the Historical & Literary Club of Wisconsin
Rapids, WI.:

Coming home to Door; vignettes & receipes celebrating the 100th
anniversary of the Door County Literary Guild. concept by Mary "Casey"
Martin. [Wisconsin Rapids, WI]: Home Brew Press, 1998.

One of our members who has a small publishing business, asked 12 people to
each write one chapter from the viewpoint of a member of this imaginary
club. One of the chapters is by another book club member, and is very much
the story of when she joined H&L.
