Help! We cannot identify a book that a patron remembers reading in the early 1960's when he was in junior high. It is a story of a boy who spends his summer trying to catch a particular catfish. That is the only info the patron could give us. Any ideas? There is a little niggle in the back of my head that there is such a book, but I can't remember anything specific about it. Ahhh, these senior moments!
If this rings a bell with anyone, we would really appreciate your help.
Happy holidays to you all!

Pat Cunningham DeVoto's _My Last Days as Roy Rogers: a Novel_ features a
10-year-old tomboy named
Tab who's out to catch the granddaddy of all catfish in Bainbridge, Alabama
in the 1950s.
It's not the entire story but some great scenes have her doing battle with
the fish.
