In regards to the science fiction inquery about a non-industrial society
stumbles upon an ancient city. A young man goes in and explores this
forbidden city and discovers the skeletal remains of a CEO.

There is a short story called " By the Waters of Babylon" by Stephen
Vincent Benet that is similar to this.
