The book discussion group I lead has just voted to read "something by
Robertson Davies" in the spring. We are looking at the first of one of the
trilogies. Alas, I have never read either _The Rebel Angels_ or _Fifth
Business_ (although both are in the pile of paperbacks from Book Sales past
that I haven't gotten to yet...). Has any one done Davies in a discussion
and have a recommendation for or against either or both of these
possibilities? Or, even if you have just read them but not discussed, do
you think either would make better interaction? I would appreiate any
comments, and you may send them directly to me unless the rest of the list
has any gret desire to get into a lit crit session about Davies... Thanks!

We did Fifth Business in our book group. It lends itself very well to
discussion and is the first book in a trilogy so readers don't have to have
read other books before it. Davies is one of my all-time favorite authors with
his marvelous storytelling, humor, memorable characters, and wonderful use of
the English language.
