On a more positive note, I would like to recommend to anyone unlucky enough
to have not discovered it, Connie Willis's book MIRACLE AND OTHER CHRISTMAS
STORIES. They are full of love and humor and include, amoung other tales: A
New Age Spirit Of Christmas Present (as in gift) who is determined to give
our heroine what she REALLY wants, the arrival of a young and bedraggled
Mary and Joseph while rehearsal of the Chistmas pageant is staggering along
at a local church and the Spirits of Christmas Past Present and Future at a
bookstore. Willis also includes her 10 favorite Christmas movies and 10
favorite stories. A true joy!
