One of my book discussion members has expressed interest in discussing an
Anne Perry mystery. I'm not sure which, if any, would lend themselves
well to discussion...has anyone tried discussing any of her titles? Any
advice?Carrie

Our "Murder, Mystery & Mayhem" Book Discussion Group has read two of Anne
Perry's books, "Face of a Stranger" and "Callander Square." Both were very
popular selections and the book discussion was quite lively. Our group
enjoyed the characters and the detailed historical settings as well as the
mystery plot. We never read the last two chapters of a mystery so the group
can speculate on the ending. We always start our meetings with a discussion
of the conclusion from the previous month's selection. I would personally
recommend "Face of a Stranger" because of its clever ending.

Our Fall Mystery Book discussion group recently did Cater Street Hangman by
Anne Perry(the group likes to read the first book of an author's series) and
it was very well received. (Author information was also quite a surprise to
the group.) The victorian setting /era was very condusive to discussion. I
would recommend using Anne Perry.
