I have to say I also enjoy the Anita Blake series and I have read Obsidian
Butterfly and the rest of the series but I agree it is not for everyone. I
recommend it to patrons who I'm sure will like it. We do not have that
series in our YA section.

As to finishing books. I started "not finishing" when I joined a discussion
group a couple of years ago. I just didn't like many of the books chosen or
I had something else going that as far more interesting and I didn't get the
book finished in time. Then once we had the discussion there did not seem
much point in finishing unless I really liked the writing.
