Hello everyone, need some help with this one. We're looking for a book
the patron says is by a well-known author written pre-60's about a
Southern family with an albino son who is accused of doing bad things.
Patron says she knows it was written by a well-known author but it wasn't
Steinbeck or Faulkner. Any ideas? Thanks for your help!

I think this is A SOUTHERN FAMILY by Gail Godwin, but I'm not absolutely sure.

I also think there is a short story about an albino by Carson McCullers
called "He."
