Some eight million viewers were captivated by last week's epic television
dramatisation of Rosamunde Pilcher's novel "Nancherrow". The two-part sequel
to last year's ITV hit "Coming Home" followed the post-war fortunes of the
Carey-Lewis family, who struggled with the threat of having to sell their
Cornish country estate.
