This may be slightly outside the scope of Fiction_l, but I know you guys
can solve it. My patron is looking for a book that contains the short
story "Granny Glitten and her amazing edible mittens" (or maybe it's
"wonderful mittens") which is a children's Christmas story that is at
least 30 years old.

This is one of my favorite stories - Granny Glittens knits edible mittens.
It's in the Tall Book of Christmas, by Dorothy Smith.

This is a story in a book from the 1950's called The Santa Book. It's long
out of print. I know because I've been looking for the book myself. My own
copy is pretty dilapidated and is missing the title and verso pages so
that's all I can give you. (It's my sister's favorite story from the book).
The title may be Granny Glittens and her amazing mittens.

This story was in The Golden Big Book of Christmas with pictures by Tasha
Tudor. I received it in the mid 40's and read it until it completely fell
apart. It has been out of print for years.
